To me, photography is the simultaneous recognition, in a fraction of a second, of the significance of an event as well as of a precise organization of forms which give that event its proper expression.

So today’s post is a special one - You ever have those moments you capture of strangers that you just know are going to be special?

Well, here we are. Some moments from Fossil Rim where we were behind Kim McKissick - I just didn’t know it yet!

All I saw were her two daughters having a grand time and having a special moment or two interacting with the giraffe. I love how these came out - I feel like these could be promo posters for Fossil Rim...maybe that's my overconfidence speaking! 😂

Either way, it was great - we hit the first half of the trip, and parked at the gift store, and I mentioned that I got some good ones, and showed one but didn’t think much of it. I wanted to come back and give her my info, but I didn’t want to be the awkward photographer, right?

Well, fast forward, and there was a note on our car window - with her email! (I think her daughter felt like a creeper leaving the note, which is funny, because I thought it was awesome!)

Thanks for letting me share these special moments, Kim! Check out a few more below, and I’ll leave links to my Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as my print store to order prints of any of my images! If you want to get connected to set up a shoot, feel free to email/call/text or message me on any of these platforms!
